I researched at nauseum every single lighted vanity mirror available online in the 48”x24” size up to 400 bux. I’m a lighting snob by career so a descent CRI was important. I also would have preferred either adjustable or fixed kelvin color temp in the 4-5k max. I also wanted a frameless design so the light illuminated the wall as well as cast light forward. But good luck finding those features in this size and price range.PROS: Very well made. Easy to install and comes with a great manual. Very nice looking contemporary design with the edges of the glass being frosted and lighted instead of it being a fat inset light frame away from the edge. Turns on with light switch. Excellent packaging. Excellent value.CONS: Light quality and brightness is disappointing at best. The 6k kelvin color temp sux. It does not generate enough light brightness on its own to apply makeup or shave. The light from this mirror is basically a decoration. It’s not even a descent fill light. You will need addition lighting to light your vanity area properly.COMMENT: Defogging is a gimmick whereas if you need that you really need to up your exhaust fan game in the bathroom big time! You need to suck the moisture out of the air while you are using hot water so you don’t start a mold factory in there.I didn’t expect this unit to be equal to a $1000 96+CRI movie light cuz let’s face it, u get what pay for. But it does deliver perfectly what I wanted, the correct dimensions to fit my vanity and the light glow on the wall around it with clean looking lighted area on the front of the mirror. The 6000 Kelvin light temp is gawd aweful, frikking blue light, while better than the green cast of the early spiral fluorescent bulbs, it just not pleasing. I plan on attaching a gel strip over the LEDs to correct the color so no biggie.On the issue of light color, your walls must be white in order to properly reflect the light from these. A dark colored wall or beige or whatever will just make the light the paint color. If you need the optimal brightness from this unit your wall it’s mounted on MUST be white.I do recommend this unit providing u r not expecting it to be your primary light source.I like the size ,the weight ,the defrost , fits great .Dislike the brightness fist couple uses were bright then in dimmed after a couple weeksLooks great, but not as bright as I thought.I ordered this mirror as part of a renovation = was working fine and quit working after 4 months. I contacted Amazon but it was out of warranty after 3 months, of course. Unfortunately, looks like I have to order another one - HUGE bummerWe purchase this a month ago when remodeling a small powder room. When reading the reviews, I though that a 36x36 would have been enough brightness for a small 4x8 room, but it wasnt. I really like the look, so was required to mount another light in the room. As far as mounting, I used the box it came in to create a template for the mounting holes. The manufacture should really include a template for mounting this lighted mirror.Perfect size and great lighting!LOVE this LED mirror!!! This is exactly what I wanted and such a great price for the size!When the package arrived, it was a little banged up but nothing seemed broken.It was a little hard to hang on the wall. It would be so helpful if a full scale outline of the backside of the mirror showing the holes where it hangs from was included. That way we could’ve taped it up on the wall and marked the holes. Instead we measured a bunch of times and marked up the freshly painted walls, so that was a bit annoying. Also, installing it is definitely a 2 person job if you’re going to wire it into the wall.Once we got it up I took off all the protective edges and film to notice a small chip/crack in the corner of the frosted edge. But I don’t feel like it’s something most people would notice so we decided not to exchange it.It really does look beautiful!They look nice, they're bright, and the antifog works well. The light is more blue hued. The only bad thing I found is that they buzz if you have the light dimmed all the way down or off. You can just turn it off from the light switch and that stops it though so it's not a huge issue.Mirror is nice but does not have front lights as indicated. Not good for vanity/makeup application. Lights are on sides only.Mounting options are a little lacking but quality of device and the light it throws is very good. Highly recommended.Really surprised that a mirror this size got here in perfect condition! Looks amazingChanges the look and feel of your bathroomThe mirror switch did not work packaging was in good shape so it was not damaged. It just didn’t work from start . Or to many people touching and moving product may have damaged it.
