These are perfect when used in the red/black votive holders also sold on this site. I've only used them once, so don't know how long the batteries will last, but I took them to a hotel (along with the votives) to set the mood in our room and didn't have to worry about setting the place on fire. They are white when you take them out of the box, but do turn red when you turn them on.Bought them for the holidays. They looked great on the mantle and on shelves in the bathroom.Expected the whole candle to be red not white. Not as red as the picture shows.Worked out great!I use these as path markers at astronomy star parties where bright lights interfere with night vision. These work great for that. These use the CR2032 battery, so they last a long long time.They are very smallThese were not as I expected! I thought they were more red, but they actually had a light that gave off a very faint red color. I returned them!The picture shows red candles. They are white and glow a bit of red when turned on. I would not recommend these if you are looking for red candles.
