I purchased these specifically for a Cape Sundew that I had ordered in May. The seller of my sundew said that I needed to provide at least 14 to 16 hours of bright light (or sunlight) per day for it to produce the 'dew' that traps the tiny black flies and gnats, so I thought I would give these a try. I have not been disappointed! I set the timer for 16 hours, and they come on each morning at 7 AM and turn off at 11 PM without fail. I actually have the telescoping rod resting inside an old mini humidifier that broke, which has worked out very well since I have added to my carnivorous plant collection (see 2nd picture) since I purchased the sundew. I only need one light for all four plants, and apparently, there is enough light given off that my orchid that sets on a nearby plant shelf has been in constant bloom as well. The only thing that I would love more is a stand of some sort made for the telescoping rod, but other than that, these lights are perfect and do what they say they'll do! I plan to order more soon for my outdoor plants that must come inside in the next few weeks. They are small, chic, and blend in with my home decor so well; additionally, the seller was quick with responding to the questions that I had when I first purchased the lamps. Great product!!
