In order to easily reach the bottom screws to remove the stock tail lights, unbolting the entire bumper is best. Luckily you don't have to actually disconnect all the lower camera or trunk release harnesses, but removing all the bumper bolts allows enough access to make the entire installation process easier.Also, like nearly everyone who installs these will encounter, the final part of snapping in the new bezels is the most annoying.
