I wanted some light over an indoor table that sits in a corner that has a vaulted ceiling and I was trying to avoid a swag light since there’s no electric source at the peak. This ended up looking like a swag with a lot of bulbs but I expected to get so cumulative light from those 12-bulbs and I was wrong. It doesn’t generate much light and though it does look good it offers only a muted somewhat off color light. To get the kind of light I would prefer requires changing out the bulbs to something more in the daylight range so I just didn’t choose wisely on this purchase. If you’re looking for something you might want to call “bright” then this will likely be a disappointment. We’re moving them to an indoor porch to replace a sting of solar lights that just never worked properly and by the time they come on in the summer we’re in bed. The actual lamp holders are sturdy but the wiring is basically zip cord (standard lamp cord) so I’m not sure how long that limited amount of wire insulation would hold up against UV rays before it starts to become brittle and crack but that’s just my guess on what’s happened to cords I have let lay too long in the sun and these may be much better. I should have paid more attention to the pictures… especially the one that shows a rather small element in the bulb that have a muted glow so thinking these could be bright was just wishful. They’re an OK type of light string and at about 15-bucks the price was acceptable since they also came with 2-spare bulbs. However, I can’t give them much more than an OK rating and if they can’t produce some acceptable lighting indoors against a white ceiling they’re not going to do much outdoors against a big dark sky unless they had some type of reflector to divert the light downwards. I’m going with 4-stars based on price and quality but for light it’s not really something to be considered with this type of bulb in it and/or no reflector. There’s literally very little downward light given off because of the type of globe it has so if it’s just ambiance you want this may work.I’ve had these for a year and I have had no issues. Very durable for outside. They get turned on nightly, and sometimes I forget to turn them off and they stay on for 2-3 days at a time. They’ve weathered summer, fall, winter and spring. Buy them!The product is great, they are bright and a sturdy product which I feel I’ll have it for sometineUsed mine with dimmable string lights. Does not hinder full bright with lights. Timer is a great option with the dusk to dawn sensor. It's under my patio so not sure of the weatherproof abilities. Did have to tuck away the extra cord. But better than have short cords.I installed two strings of 24 LED lamps - total of 48 lamps (1 watt each). The brightness was too much for the desk under roof installation. Found this dimmer and compared against other devices on-line. The cost , features and wattage met my needs. Installed the dimmer and turned on the lights. Clicked through the brightness settings and selected the lowest setting. Then, setup the auto on/off sensor and set to stay on for one hour every day. Completely satisfied with this dimmer. The product description does not include that the dimmer converts the 120vac input to 120vdc output. This does not matter on the operation, just was not included in the product description.We got these lights to replace a different brand which stopped working in only a few days. These lights are very durable and have been outside for months now. They still work no problem after multiple heavy rain and wind storms. The plastic bulbs are perfect and look good too. The fuse has not brown out once and I have two strands connected. These are very much recommended.Purchased two sets. I ran plastic-coated wires from my house to my gazebo, then attached the lights to the wire with zip ties. The sets look and work well, they should last several seasons. I like the plastic bulb for ease of use and durability. I also control the light sets with an on/off remote, which makes it nice to turn them on from inside the house prior to going onto my deck.I’ve had this lights for about 6 months now and they work perfectly. Simple and easy to hang as they are really lightweight.Great value!
