I had high hopes for this solar rope and it does what I wanted it to -- lights the steps on our deck so that we can see them in the dark. Unfortunately, we either don't get enough sun to charge the solar panel to allow the lights to stay lit more than an hour or 2 or that is their longevity. I doubt the latter since the first night they worked for a long time. Since then maybe an hour or 2 and that is after they've had a full day of sunshine. We live in the northeast so sunny days can be be few and far between in the winter -- so I fully didn't expect them to work all the time but after a full day of sunshine, I really expected them to light up well into the night. I think if you live in Arizona, New Mexico, California, Hawaii, Florida where there is a lot of sunshine, these lights would be great.After a slight glitch in the first shipment, the second shipment came as expected. Aside from that, after purchasing almost 20 different solar led rope lights, this is by far the best one yet. It has over double the amount of lights than the others I purchased had. The lights are pretty bright. Truly as bright as expected. They are quality made and appear they will last for quite a while. As my other rope lights deteriorate, I will definitely replace them with this item. I do not know about the battery life but as with all others, it will likely have to be replaced in a year. We will see. I highly recommend this product over the others I have purchased and the others I have researched.Purchase two sets of rope lights from Amazon warehouse. They were supposed to be the same lights but they are different which is why I took off one star. I like them both but one is definitely nicer than the other. They will both look great around my pool. And I’m happy with the order and the price.I bought 2 sets of these and used them to light a tetrahedron (wind direction indicator) on our airport. The one here has not had power for many years. This works great and the pilots love it. I haven't tried it in colors yet, but this was a great solution to a problem. Time will tell how long it works at 117 deg F in the daytime.These were easy to install into my tree. I just gently wrapped them around the trunk and spiraled up through the branches. It stays in place pretty well since the plastic has a slight grip texture to it. I like that there is a pretty long length of wire from the solar cell to the lights. There is even a connector at the box. I am curious if I can rig up an extension wire so I can put the cells in a better spot.Have this Funiao solar rope light about 2 months now. Color chosen is white and could be brighter for 240 Leds. No problem so far with lighting up at night if there's any kind of sun out. The length of time the rope light stays on in the evening will depends on the sun availability also.I couldn't get the lights to just stay on or even stay in one mode. I didn't want to go to trouble to return, so I just got used to it going through the different modes.
